Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair has a vacancy for an Assistant Stock & Compliance Team Leader at our Head Office Bonaero Park. The successful applicant will report to the Stock & Compliance Team Leader.
Job Description
- Coordinate and oversee daily stock count and compliance activities within the applicable base operation;
- Monitor adherence to stock control, stock handling, trolley sealing, and storage procedures;
- Review stock count results and investigate stock variances, discrepancies, and compliance concerns;
- Ensure stock records and supporting documentation are completed accurately and timeously;
- Escalate significant operational, compliance, or stock-related risks to the Team Leader;
- Compile and submit stock count reports, variance reports, and compliance findings for the Cape Town operation;
- Monitor recurring trends and identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy and compliance;
- Maintain accurate stock control records and supporting documentation;
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Stock & Compliance Assistants based in Cape Town;
- Assist with work allocation and ensure operational activities are completed according to required standards;
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members;
- Act as the first point of escalation for routine operational issues within the Cape Town operation;
- Liaise with flight crew, catering providers, and operational teams regarding stock discrepancies and compliance matters;
- Support communication between the Cape Town operation and the Team Leader to ensure alignment and consistency;
- Promote awareness and adherence to stock handling and compliance procedures amongst stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
- Relevant Diploma/Degree (Preferred);
- 3 years relevant experience in a mid-sized organisation (Essential);
- Proficient in the use of MS suite.
