Job Description

 

The Girls’ Preparatory School invites applications for the abovementioned full-time position which will be available from 1 January 2027

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills, competencies, passion and energy to take on this position.

Job Requirements

The requirements for this position are: 

  • A suitable professional qualification with at least 5 years appropriate teaching experience in the Foundation Phase
  • Design and deliver lessons which encourage exploration, questioning, and deep understanding
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and learning experiences
  • Experience in independent schools and Girls’ Education would be advantageous
  • A sound and progressive understanding of the South African curriculum and international trends in education
  • The ability to foster and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • An ability to be flexible, innovative and embrace change
  • Proficiency in using educational technology platforms and tools to enhance learning engagement and outcomes
  • An unequivocal commitment to working as part of an accomplished team
  • A commitment to on-going personal and professional development
  • An ability to contribute significantly to our extramural programme
  • An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach to education
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
