Job Description

Purpose:

The Technical Driver Facilitator is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, accredited driver training programmes that enhance driver competence, promote safe driving behaviour, and reduce transport-related risk.
This role focuses on facilitation, coaching, and assessment, ensuring learners are supported throughout their learning journey while meeting all SAQA, SETA, and QCTO compliance standards.





Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate engaging, learner-centred theoretical and practical training sessions
  • Apply modern adult learning methodologies to accommodate diverse learners
  • Conduct competency-based assessments and compile Portfolios of Evidence (POEs)
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to learners
  • Ensure full compliance with SAQA, SETA, QCTO, and internal quality standards
  • Adapt training delivery for different learning styles, languages, and experience levels
  • Maintain accurate and timely training records and assessment documentation
  • Support internal and external audits, verifications, and accreditation processes
  • Ensure proper use and care of training equipment and vehicles
  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to enhance training offerings and learner outcomes
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
  • Valid South African driver’s licence (relevant vehicle categories)
  • Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) 
  • Accredited Facilitator/Driver Trainer qualification (essential)
  • Assessor registration (highly preferred)
  • Moderator registration (highly preferred)
  • Defensive driving and First Aid certification (advantageous)

Experience: 

  • 3–5 years driving experience
  • 2–3 years experience in training, facilitation, or coaching (essential)
  • Experience with assessments, POE compilation and accredited training environments
  • Experience working with adult learners in diverse environments
