Job Description

Senwes is seeking a Fleet Assistant to support the efficient operation of the Fleet Department by ensuring pool and fleet vehicles are well-maintained, compliant, and readily available. The role focuses on vehicle administration, inspections, coordination of maintenance, and operational support to enable seamless fleet services across the business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective daily coordination, allocation, and inspection of pool vehicles, maintaining their cleanliness, roadworthiness, and compliance.
  • Support maintenance scheduling, fuel management, and accurate documentation to ensure vehicles are always operational and available.
  • Assist in preparing vehicles for tender processes by coordinating inspections, capturing vehicle details, and ensuring presentation standards are met.
  • Support the handover process by verifying documentation, payments, and condition of vehicles.
  • Provide support with fleet vehicle handovers, branding, tracking installations, and accessory fitments.
  • Assist with receiving returned vehicles and conducting routine inspections to maintain fleet standards.
  • Support general fleet operations including vehicle transportation, maintenance coordination, and ad-hoc driving duties for departments and management, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the Fleet Department.
Job Requirements

Qualifications and experience: National Senior Certificate. Valid driver’s licence (mandatory). At least 1 year’s relevant experience in fleet, logistics, or vehicle administration. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and compliance requirements.
