NACOSA is seeking a passionate and energetic Peer Influencers to support the implementation of the ABYM Programme aimed at improving the health, wellbeing, and social outcomes of adolescent boys and young men through HIV prevention, gender equality, and positive behaviour change interventions.
Job Description

NACOSA is seeking a passionate and energetic Peer Influencers to support the implementation of the ABYM Programme aimed at improving the health, wellbeing, and social outcomes of adolescent boys and young men through HIV prevention, gender equality, and positive behaviour change interventions.

The key performance areas of the role include:

 

  • Mobilise and recruit adolescent boys and young men into programme activities.
  • Facilitate group sessions, workshops, and community dialogues.
  • Conduct outreach, awareness, and behaviour change activities within communities.
  • Provide referrals and follow-up support for health and social services.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit activity reports.
  • Promote positive health-seeking behaviour and gender equality.

 

Job Requirements

Required qualifications, skills and experience

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with young people and communities will be an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for community development and youth empowerment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel within communities.
  • Fluent in English and one additional South African language relevant to the programme area.
