The ARC-Natural Resources and Engineering (ARC-NRE) seeks to appoint highly experienced and dynamic persons to the following positions based in Cedara, KwaZulu Natal:
Job Description
  • Plant Care & Maintenance: Planting, watering, pruning, gutter cleaning, weeding, and mulching to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Landscaping & Lawn Care: Mowing, edging, seeding, sodding, and maintaining lawns and green spaces.
  • Plant Health Management: Identifying and treating weeds, pests, and diseases, often using fertilizers and pesticides.
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Using, cleaning, and maintaining tools and machinery.
  • Site Upkeep: Keeping walkways and gardens clean, including leaf removal and litter collection.
  • Storeroom maintenance: cleaning/organising the storeroom as required.
  • Weather station maintenance: keeping the weather station site clear.
Job Requirements
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a wide range of gardening work
  • Experience in Occupational Health & Safety will be an added advantage.
  • Communication and planning skills.
