Job Description

Duties

  • Assist with demand creation through mobilising men both in the facilities and the community for HIV testing.
  • Provide STS to men both in facilities and the community settings.
  • Coordinate the implementation and the running of the MHS e.g. Men’s Corners, happy hours and Men’s dialogs.
  • Assist with the tracing of index contacts and refer them to the facility for testing.
  • Attend and support the formation and running of men support groups.
  • Recruit men/male clients for support groups and assist in facilitating the clubs at initial stages.
  • Provide simple and relevant HIV/TB information to male client in aa a clear convincing and age- appropriate manner.
  • Identify psychological issues affecting treatment adherence and refer the client for professional assistance where necessary.
Job Requirements

Education

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12  

Advantageous

  • Knowledge of HIV/TB and psychosocial challenges affecting men.
