Job Description

We are looking for a creative, trend-focused, and highly organised Junior Fashion Designer to join our fast-paced design team. In this role, you will support the end-to-end design process, from initial trend research and mood boarding to technical packs and sample reviews. The ideal candidate has a commercial eye, a passion for high-street retail, and the technical skills to translate global trends into wearable collections for our remarkable customers.

Job Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Analyse and present trend-driven insights that bridge the gap between global consumer shifts and the PEP merchandise strategy, directly informing seasonal product development

  • Provide guidance to Marketing and Merchandise teams on styling, ensuring freshness and relevance of product ranges

  • Translate global market trends into visual mood boards and actionable insights to help drive the future of our merchandise strategy

  • Create technical drawings for the PEP business 

  • Design and develop graphics, prints, and embroideries using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Manage and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business

  • Collaborate with Buyers to ensure ranges are balanced, commercial, and offer appropriate newness

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS 

  • Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or a related creative field

  • 2+ years of professional design experience within a high-volume retail environment 

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production-led space would be advantageous 

  • Proven track record in graphic design for a major retailer, demonstrating an understanding of brand identity and consumer behavior

  • Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (illustrator/photoshop/indesign)

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate Generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney) into the design process to generate mood boards, textile patterns, and rapid concept iterations
