The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new business development and strategic account management within the allocated territory. The role involves executing sales strategies, deepening customer relationships, and ensuring an exceptional client experience while meeting commercial and performance objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve Sales Targets
Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets per customer and product line.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client portfolio.
Expand market share by understanding customer wallet share and growth potential.
Maintain an accurate and qualified sales pipeline to ensure consistent performance.
Proactively manage churn and protect existing revenue streams.
Execute Sales Strategy
Develop and implement account plans aligned with strategic business goals.
Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Use customer insights to acquire, retain, and grow profitable accounts.
Represent the brand professionally and ensure consistent delivery of its value proposition.
Influence customer buying decisions and position the company’s solutions effectively.
Manage Sales Process
Conduct structured client meetings with clear agendas, outcomes, and follow-ups.
Progress deals efficiently through all sales stages within the CRM system.
Maintain accurate, updated records of all sales activities and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with internal sales processes and service level agreements.
Prepare professional, personalised proposals and communication for clients.
Deliver Customer Value
Engage proactively with clients to understand their business needs and tailor solutions.
Enhance customer satisfaction through exceptional service and follow-through.
Promote automation and self-service capabilities to improve customer experience.
Core Requirements
Matric (Grade 12) – essential.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field – advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Account Management, preferably within Telecommunications or ICT.
Strong understanding of the telecommunications landscape and key customer channels.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience using CRM systems and digital sales tools.
