Job Description
Coltman Code is seeking a driven and eager-to-learn Intern Developer to join our in-office team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or final-year students who want real-world exposure to software development, automation tools, and collaborative project work. As part of our tech team, you’ll gain practical experience while contributing to meaningful development and support tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with n8n to build out automation flows based on provided scopes
- Test, debug, and refine flows to ensure they meet functional requirements
- Assist with simple coding tasks such as writing helper scripts, small features, or bug fixes under supervision
- Perform testing and quality checks on features or flows before handover
- Report bugs and issues accurately with clear steps for replication
- Document flows, integrations, and development projects for internal reference
- Maintain up-to-date technical notes and create basic “how-to” guides when required
- Work closely with developers and the project manager to understand requirements
- Participate in code reviews, team stand-ups, and knowledge-sharing sessions when needed
- Proactively learn and apply best practices in coding, documentation, and workflow building
- Assist in research tasks such as exploring APIs and potential integration options
- Support the team with ad-hoc development or testing tasks as required
- Take on support days and resolve support items in a timely and professional manner
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field
- Familiarity with basic programming concepts and languages (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive mindset and willingness to ask questions, take initiative, and collaborate
