The ARC- Onderstepoort Veterinary Research (ARC?? OVR) seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic persons in the following positions at Onderstepoort, Pretoria.
Job Description
  • Sample collection at abattoirs.
  • Receiving and cataloguing of samples in the laboratory.
  • Organizing and preparing samples.
  • Assists in the preparation of test reagents.
  • Performs microbiological, serological and molecular assays for the detection and identification of bacterial agents using well defined procedures.
  • Keeps records and makes reports on assignments received.
Job Requirements
  • BSc Hons in Microbiology, Animal Health or related field.
  • Background knowledge of microbiology, serology and PCR.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • A driver’s license will be an added advantage.
