An exciting opportunity has become available for a HR Coordinator in the Human Resources Department at Samancor Ferrometals situated in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To administer the HR processes

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

  • Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
  • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
  • Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
  • Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

CUSTOMERS

Customer Relations:

  • Interact with customers and familiarise yourself with operational concerns and any inherent peculiarities
  • Ensure customer satisfaction

Suppliers Relations:

  • Liaise with HR suppliers

BUSINESS PROCESSES

HR Legislation:

  • Comply with the relevant HR Legislation (Labour Relations Act, EE Act, Skills Development Act, etc.)

Onboarding:

  • Assist with onboarding in accordance with the Onboarding Procedure

Education, Training and Development:

  • Maintain training records on database
  • Schedule training interventions and forward invitations for nominations
  • Notify attendees and immediate superiors of the training dates and arrangements
  • Make arrangements for travel, accommodation, meals, venue, facilitator, etc.
  • Compile course feedback reports
  • Update attendance registers on the computer system
  • Issue and distribute certificates on successfully completion of training interventions
  • Coordinating training committee meetings and minute taking
  • Maintain filing system
  • Administration of Skills Based Pay
  • Conduct skills development administration

Talent Management:

  • Maintain talent management files

Bursary and Graduate Development Programme:

  • Process payments to students and institutions

Employee Study Assistance:

  • Maintain and update study records
  • Verify results and coordinate repayments of Study loans from unsuccessful candidates
  • Process payments to students and institutions

HR Systems:

  • Maintain and update the HR System

HR Administration:

  • Prepare and distribute monthly reporting

General Office Administration:

  • Maintain HR Benefits administration

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Higher Certificate (NQF 5) or National Diploma in Human Resources
  • 3 years relevant experience
