We are now recruiting for a BI & Data Warehousing Specialist and who will report into the IT Manager.

Overview of Role        

This person will work directly with stakeholders and team members to define, design and deliver actionable insights while working with ETL developers and BI developers in an agile environment.

Your Responsibilities

BI and DW Architecture & Leadership 

  • Alignment of local strategy with the IT, business unit and group goals
  • Optimization of information management through an understanding of technology capabilities and delivery of improvement initiatives.
  • Promotion of shared infrastructure, application and services to reduce costs and improve information flow
  • Work with solution architect(s) and Service Design, Delivery and Operation Managers to plan and implement a consensus-based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business needs
  • Risk Management of Data assets through appropriate standards and security policies
  • Direct and indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise
  • Mentoring and coaching juniors and/or peers.

BI and DW Solution Delivery

  • Technically leading all projects and changes to ensure delivered line with enterprise practices of data warehousing and industry standards.
  • Partnering with the organisation to streamline how solutions within the EDW can be enhanced to add business value
  • Partnering with the organisation to develop and deliver business intelligence and analytics operational capability that delivers value driven reporting and insight.
  • Hands on in providing level 3 support and problem management.
  • Remaining current on key technologies, business and industry trends as it applies to the EDW environments.
  • Establishing and enhancing communication channels for change management and reporting.
  • Executing change through frequent, communication to staff and clients about the change and the impact of the change (individual and business)
  • Anticipating and analyzing trends in technology while assessing the emerging technologies impacts
  • Vendor management
Job Requirements

What you will need to be considered

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Preferably SAP BW/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics Certified.
  • Have expert understanding of the DW & ETL process/concepts/technologies.
  • In-depth experience (5+ years) with DW & ETL tools from both a technical and conceptual stance, with experience in SAP BI. 
  • Prior working experience with SAP S/4 HANA Embedded Analytics
  • Minimum of 5 years prior working experience with SAP Business Objects (WEBI, AFO), SQL Server, MS SSIS.  
  • Exposure to SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Data services.
